Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa is a type of yoga that links movement and breath. Vinyasa yoga is also called "flow" because of the smooth way the poses run together. It is a style of yoga that emphasizes moving from one posture to another - seamlessly using breath. Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are ever alike.
Yin
Yin Yoga is a style of yoga that involves holding poses for longer periods of time to target the deep connective tissues of the body and to quiet the mind. The poses are typically seated or reclined and are held for three to five minutes or more. Yin Yoga is a slower-paced, more meditative, and introspective form of yoga.
Restorative
Restorative Yoga is a style of yoga that incorporates the use of props such as blankets and bolsters to encourage physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. It is practiced at a slow pace, focusing on long holds, stillness and deep breathing leading to releasing mind-body tension and bringing the nervous system into a state of healing. In a restorative yoga class, the props are used for relaxation; however, in a yin yoga class, the props are meant to either deepen or ease the stretch. Restorative yoga poses can be incorporated into yin yoga classes or taught as a separate class.
