Saucer Squadron is The Yellow Hand's first skirmish miniatures wargame. Paired with the Redacted RPG (in development), Saucer Squadron is set in the universe of 1950s government conspiracy, and lets you take control of flying saucers, duking it out for dominion over Earth between the U.S., the Soviet Union, the Sternreich, the Reticulans, and many others. You can trick out your game with paintable resin miniatures for an even more immersive experience. In Saucer Squadron, the sky isn't the limit – it's just the first step!
Redacted is a highly entertaining, tongue-in-cheek role-playing game that pairs with our Saucer Squadron skirmish wargame and lets you investigate and uncover devious alien plots against Earth, as well as reveal sinister government cover-ups. Firmly tongue-in-cheek, this is a game for fans of campy, old-time science fiction and pulp entertainment.

"I discovered the game through an ad on Facebook. Sounded interesting so checked it out at WargameVault. I decided to order the pdf and printed rules, and the printed saucer counters. I've been reading over the pdf since buying, started cutting out the counters after getting them, and today I got the printed rulebook. My first experience getting printed materials from WargameVault and am very happy with the results. The rulebook competes well with much more expensive books from the big game companies. Content wise, it looks like a great, fun system. The Yellow Hand folks added a first scenario to the order,
so I can get a game going soon, and look forward to more materials and some 3d printed saucers in the future.
Dayton area gamers should expect to see this on a convention table in the near future."

"A fun game with an engaging setting, however what I like most about Saucer Squadron is the simultaneous movement mechanic. It requires both players to plot out their movements, then you both reveal your movements at the same time. So you're basically making assumptions on where you think your opponent is going to move. Adds a level of tactical thinking that I don't normally see in the miniature games I regularly play, like Battletech where you roll initiative and take turns moving your forces, thus using an action-reaction mechanic. And while I enjoy games like Battletech, Saucer Squadron is a pleasant departure. While I haven't progressed too far past the most basic level of maneuver and combat, I'm looking forward to dipping into the mechanics of the ships themselves--using those distinct features to pick up a tactical advantage. Based on what has been produced thus far (including the counters and the coordinate numbered playmats), I'm looking forward to seeing this game expanded with the Redacted RPG book."
