The Violet Current

A frequent visitor of the New York queer scene, and the Liberty Lounge in particular, is Alexander “Alex” Logan. Alex hasn't been seen in a while, and his friends are worried. Could he have gotten ill? Or has something bad happened to him? Can the investigators help find out the truth?

The Violet Current takes place in 1920s New York City, and especially in the underground queer clubs, bars, and other meeting-places of the Jazz Age era. Players are encouraged to have their investigators being familiar with, and comfortable in these kinds of environments. Even if they don't consider themselves to belong to the clientele these establishments cater to, they should at least be allies or prejudice-free.

The Violet Current is an adventure for Call of Cthulhu 7th edition, set in the roaring 1920s. It’s a complete, standalone 26-page story with handouts, NPCs and pre-generated characters, playable in two or three sessions.
