You?
Got a passion for tabletop gaming, and a creative itch that needs to be scratched? Join the Yellow Hand!
The Yellow Hand has taken a principled ethical stance against the use of artificial intelligence in our products. This stance rests on three pillars:
Support for the artistic, creative community;
Recognition that unlawfully training generative A.I. on the scanned work of artists is unacceptable, and constitutes theft of intellectual property;
Even if A.I. is trained on lawfully submitted and obtained materials, the ultimate purpose is still to circumvent the commission of paid work from legitimate, skilled human artists, and this is ultimately ethically indefensible as it depletes the talent pool.
The Yellow Hand commits to not including A.I. generated artwork in its products or in its marketing, and to the best of its ability remove all instances of such artwork if and where has been mistakenly inserted, as soon as this is practically and financially possible..
The only thing that makes sense to us as a publisher, is to make sure as many people as possible can play and enjoy our games. Regardless of their age, gender, physical ability, social status, skin color, sexual orientation, political or religious persuasion. We do not believe we have the moral right to exclude anyone, but we also don't have the right to impose any rules upon anyone else. If, for instance, you prefer to play characters of a certain gender, or prefer to leave the gender issue entirely out of your game, then that is 100% your prerogative, no questions asked. BUT, equally, you do not have the right to impose your choice on anyone else.
With that said, let us be absolutely clear: if you choose to come at The Yellow Hand or any of our customers with intolerance, we will ban you from our channels, and ask that you take your business elsewhere, because we sincerely do not want it.
Intolerance has no place in the gaming community. If you are tolerant towards others, and they in turn are tolerant towards you, we can all get on with our gaming, and enjoy our games exactly the way we want them.
And how we want them is nobody else's business.
