Top ten cards I'd like to find in an abandoned attic, thrown away in someone's trash can or under my Christmas tree.

  1. 1954 Topps #128 Aaron RC (This set is close but this card is the highest priced card from my want lists)

  2. 1954 Bowman #66 Ted Williams (This set is done but this variation is something I must have for it to be TRULY done)

  3. 1954 Topps #94 Banks RC (This set is close, down to 3 cards including the above mentioned Aaron RC)

  4. 1953 Bowman #44 Bauer/Berra/Mantle (A special card in the set that features a Mick, gotta have it.)

  5. 1960 Fleer #3 Babe Ruth (Putting a Ruth card on this list is cool even if it's a post career card. One of 2 left in this set.)

  6. 1961 Fleer #152 Ted Williams (Just a year after his retirement, Fleer managed to slip him into this old-timers set.)

  7. 1961 Topps #563 Bob Cerv (Last card to finish this set. Not really a star but a tough high number.)

  8. 1970 Kellogg's #27 Roberto Clemente  (Need this one and one more to finish this set)

  9. 1966 O-Pee-Chee #70 Carl Yastrzemski (This is for my Yaz collection and may be the toughest I have left to find)

The #1 card, 1954 Topps Ted Williams (#1) was acquired in an Ebay purchase by mistake! It was in a lot of (6) 54's I purchased but I thought it was #250, the one I already had from '54. The other cards in the lot were the ones I was after. Nice surprse when I opened the package and found my #1 on top for cheap. The list is revised (6-25-02)

The #3 card, The 1960 Topps McCovey RC,  was won at the Morganti Auction during the 2002 National in Chicago. Price: 0 The list is revised (8-15-02)

The #3 card, Detroit Tigers team card, #528, was purchased on Ebay completing my '68 set. The list is revised (9-6-02)

This is certainly an OBC built set.

I had 11 of the 20 cards which include stars like Yaz, Ruth, Cobb, Mays, etc. and sent off to England for the other 9 I needed to complete what I think is a cool little set.

If you have gone down this far and also checked A Real Yaz Page and 1980 Cards , (Note: A Real Yaz Page is up and operable, reached from the drop down menu above, though it is still being built. It does have an updated Yaz list on it. The 1980 Cards page has nothing on it. I've not started any later sets lately) and still not found anything you can trade to me, here is a list of upgrades I would like. The list is not long. (Ha! it's long now!) Out of 60,000 plus cards I have graded and cataloged, these are the only ones that I call poor enough to upgrade. (What I really meant here is the only ones I'll go out of my way to upgrade) It's gotta look pretty bad to be listed here. Mainly, #1) If some young artist made enhancements to the player's face, or  #2) If a large amount of the card is missing, I call it poor. Anything that doesn't have one of these problems is an upgrade. Creases, informational writing, scratches, warpage, bad centering, bullet holes (.22 caliber), staple holes, tape marks, gum/wax stains, water marks, food stains, fuzzy corners, no corners (within reason, see #2), bicycle spoke damage and glue marks, do not bother me at all. Remember though, if you upgrade me here, that just means that some other OBC guy is gonna end up with the Mays with the blue mustache or some other wonder card. (I actually already sent out that Mays card). The cards in Red are the poor cards and the ones in Black are the poor to fair. The cards with back variations I really don't care if they are upgraded or not since the other variation is probably in better shape. Nor do I care about upgrades to the Goudeys or '52 Topps cards. I am more interested in replacing the cards marked in Red but I'll be glad to take any upgrade if that's what you have to send me.
