Lines and Veils

For the campaigns I GM, I tend to keep things PG.
Sword and sorcery is a major inspiration for me. So somewhere between Avatar the Last Airbender animated show and Arnold's 80's Conan.
LINES (Hard lines, no-go zones) for me are: Sexual assault, non-consensual sexual contact or behavior, violence toward children, abuse toward children, inter-character betrayal, character-driven torture, non-consensual violence or betrayal between characters, player-character-driven racism
VEILS (Off-screen): Consensual sex and sexual contact, torture
Slavery. Slavery exists in the game world. These are tools of Chaos and categorically evil (as it is in the real world). Those aligned to civilization ("Law" and "Neutral") have the opportunity to right this wrong: work with and persuade lawful rulers, join an uprising against the big bads, or start your own! I wouldn't detail abuse suffered by thralls and slaves in the world but will convey that this is happening.
Racism. It exists in the game world. Stereotypes exist. Rivalries amongst ancestries (e.g. Gimli and Legolas) are not uncommon. Hatred exists, especially amongst conflicting factions and polities.
Player racism is a no go.
