The Wyrmarch
Will you brave the treacherous Wyrmarch to harvest the essence of a fallen demigod? Seek the legendary Crown of Kuldan? Decipher the Nibiru-Amaš Tablets and unlock the mysteries of the Astral sphere? Confront the hidden dangers left by the Cataclysm? Whether for blood or coin, the choice is yours.
Points of Light: Small, isolated settlements and city-states serve as bastions of safety and civilization amidst a wilderness filled with peril and shadow.
Scarred Land: The landscape bears the marks of an ancient war between implacable aliens and the gods and denizens of The First Cities. Trek through twisted wastelands, leering forests, and sail across seas inhabited by mutant leviathans and other eldritch-touched biomes.
Pellucid Power: Fortune hunters venture forth to unearth Shards, lambent crystals with extraordinary properties, formed from the essence of a dismembered, chimeric champion of Chaos.
Borderland Boomtowns: Delvers, prospectors, mages, and merchants flock to frontier towns like Tumblestone, seeking fortune and adventure.
Forgotten Empires: Principalities and dominions rise, only to fall to the depredations of inimical aliens or the corruption. Arcane knowledge and wondrous devices from before the Cataclysm and these forgotten empires can still be found in lost citadels and hidden vaults.
Hegemony of Sinharat: The Hegemony of Sinharat relocated conquered peoples, resulting in pluralistic and cosmopolitan settlements across the world. This doesn't mean they all get along. {This is to open up the choices of ancestries beyond humans, dwarves, halflings and the like.}
Elves? Shhh!: We shouldn't talk about them. Some say they disappeared a long time ago. They're wrong! Such creatures never existed.

System: Worlds Without Number
Platform: Foundry VTT, with voice chat on Discord
Discord Chat Channels for comms
Frequency: Weekly. I'm on EDT. Saturdays 10 AM-1PM Eastern. Alternate times in case I'm not available (6PM-9PM Sundays, 7-10PM Tuesdays)
Session Length: 3 hours. With a 10-15 minue break.
Setting: Homebrew. Points of Light.
Style: Sandbox (My hope is for a longer term West Marches style play)
During the session when we have Foundry up, I'd like to keep things moving. Sally forth, delve and return to boomtown (hopefully with treasure and the PCs still alive). Post-delve discussion, downtime and pre-delve prep is via discord.
Dungeon Delving: on Map (token represents the Band to speed up exploration)
Combat: One token per Band member (added to the map when combat starts).
New Character Level: Two. This is for the new players joining the founding band members.
Still with us?
I'm asking new players to put some thought into why they want to join the campaign and what they are looking for.
Please complete this questionnaire:

We'll have a quick voice chat so we can better assess whether I am a good fit for you as a GM.
What I Offer:
A free DM - a rusty DM but I've gotten good feedback from players and I put a lot of time and energy into prep and into the session
I am familiar but not a WWN expert, bear with me
Playstyle is "sandbox with hooks"; please note - have you ever played a true sandbox? make sure to see below - player responsibilities.
A balanced mix of roleplaying, battles, exploration, and possibly of domain play (keep, castle, fiefdom, etc.)
I've watched Critical Role but I'm not Matt Mercer - I'm sorry. I make an attempt at voice acting, but not always successful.
I am responsive and am all too happy to collaborate with players during the (real-time) days between delves. Post-delve debrief, downtime activities and prep for the next delve are how we can make the most of our 3 hour sessions.
What I Expect:
For everyone to have fun at no one else's expense
That you are kind
That you can lose MULTIPLE characters to bad rolls, bad choices, and bad luck
That you can share the limelight with your fellows
That you show up (on time is always a nice bonus)
That you are a engaged player
REAL sandbox games don't play well without the following:-- every player is involved in realizing the campaign world-- players can cooperate with each other synergistically to find and complete interesting story lines
I ask that players organise themselves and make decisions around what thread/adventure/delve they want to pursue after each session. I need time to prep for the next game!
While you have may have your niche or specialty, don't leave all the roleplaying to the "face" of the Band. If you want to try a YOLO savant-build and the only thing you want to engage in is optimizing your "build" and finding every advantage in the rules and nothing else, this campaign is not for you.
