Languages common in the Wyrmarch and Stormcoast
Trade Cant. Used by Merchants, traders, and travelers. A pidgin language combining elements of several regional dialects. Used in commerce, negotiation, and travel.
2. Khuldarik (Dwarvish). Preferred by the people of the Stormcoast (who don't care for the fancy courts of Evandra)
3. Evandra. Used by Common folk, merchants, and scholars in the Principality of Evandra.
Influences: High Sinharati. Local dialects and languages of the indigenous people of Evandra.
Vernacular for everyday use, market transactions and informal conversations. Scholarly and government work conducted in High Sinharati.
4. Scale Tongue. "Low" Draconic. Other than Trade Cant, the dialect most commonly by those dwelling outside of the Iron Duke's realm and Tumblestone.
Other Languages
Archaic Sinharati. Used by the ancient rulers and scholars of the earliest Sinharat civilization.
Hegemonic Sinharati. Used by the rulers, officials, and educated elite of the Hegemony of Sinharat.
Governance, legal documents, official decrees, religious contexts.
High Sinharati. Used by modern-day nobility, officials, and scholars in the Sinharati successor states and influenced regions.
Cultural Legacy: Ceremonial importance, mark of education and prestige.
Usage: Royal decrees, legal documents, official communications, scholarly work.
Khuldani. Derived from Khuldarik. The language of King Khuldan's realm. Now spoken by the nomads in the Wyrmarch and surrounding regions.
Axiomatic. The language of lawful wizards, scholars, structured magic practitioners, and religious adherents of Law.
Usage: Formal work such as magical and religious laws and texts as well as magical and religious rituals.
Legal and Religious Documents: The goal is unambiguous laws and contracts.
Pandemoniac. Used by Chaos mages, cultists, and chaotic followers. Used in chaotic rites and incantations. Found in tomes of chaos magic.
