Particles are bound morphemes that are found in two different variants: Unit effecting (U) and sentence effecting (S). Particles are ALWAYS placed after what they are pertaining to, so that /sule/ (I + Plural (U)) means we, and not /lesu/.
Unit Effecting Particles: Unit Effecting particles "attach" to a core and form a unit. Multiple UEP's can be attached to a single core and this is very common, though it is necessary to note that a particle will effect everything in its unit that comes before it including other particles. Therefore, to say "our", you would say /sulewa/, not /suwale/ (I + Plural (U) + Posses (U)) vs. (I +Posses (U) + Plural (U)). The order of particles in the unit is therefore crucial to the end meaning of the unit.
Sentence Effecting Particles: Sentence Effecting particles do not attach to any specific core but to a sentence. What this means is they will modify the meaning of everything that comes before them in a whole sentence, not just a unit. This comes in handy often, ___________
