In the vast shadow of the night,

a distant soul from past lives

come back through the misty haze,

like echoes of a hundred years gone by.

Restless waiting with a deep longing,

picking a golden autumn leaf.

Who silently fades away

with the poignant sorrow of Ô Thước, 

the lovers’ separation bridge of legend.

Each night, in my mind, the shadow of a figure,

I call to the sea of remembrance.

Waves churning restlessly,

following the sound of a wandering heart.

Oh, you, do you know?

Night after night, I am so engrossed.

Whose footsteps stir up memories,

and its echoes still sting my heart.

Then, you leave, and I miss you so. 

As if life’s a dream. 

You departed into legend,

and I remain fragile with yearning verses.

A century then a millennium.

An intoxicating night with the precious wine.

The rosebud full of fragrance of poetry

And our souls in beautiful harmony.

Oh... one thousand and one nights,

Resting on your warm shoulders.

An enchanted moment, 

and in my heart, a frozen eternity.
