Radiation Battle: Courage....

 Phùng Duy Tân

As I face this battle once again,

The third encounter with this pain,

Radiation, a familiar foe,

Returns to strike another blow.

I thought the war was done and won,

But cancer, cunning, wasn't gone.

No cure this time, just to ease,

The lump and ache that never cease.

Oh, what a feeling, heavy and drear,

A mixture of defiance and fear.

Each session, a fight to endure,

Seeking relief, not a cure.

The rays that once brought hope and light,

Now bring a struggle, day and night.

It's a dance with shadows, bittersweet,

A tango of triumph and defeat.

I write these lines with a weary hand,

In this relentless, no man's land.

Yet, in each word, I find my fight,

A beacon through the darkest night.

It's not just about winning or loss,

It's about enduring, whatever the cost.

In this journey, harsh and long,

In my heart, I must stay strong.

So here I stand, in the face of pain,

A warrior, ready to battle again.

With each challenge, I find my might,

In this endless, valiant fight.
