It’s important to understand that, in my mind, I am a storyteller first and an artist second. Each piece I create carries a narrative, a memory, or a quiet voice of its own. My paintings are invitations into places that feel both familiar and distant— worlds shaped by emotion, reflection, and imagination. I search for moments of calm within the chaos, and I invite the viewer to share in that stillness. My goal is to tie the viewer to a feeling of peace, because there is a kind of magic in art. Color and shape can speak like words on a page, whispering softly to the mind, swirling the eye of the viewer, and resting gently in the heart. 

I work primarily in watercolor and acrylic, layering washes and textures to build fragments of imagined landscapes and mythic presences. Trees breathe, mountains watch, and rivers remember. I am drawn to the way nature holds memory. How the world continues, heals, changes, and carries us with it. Each painting becomes a space to sit with, breathe in, and discover something personal, even if that meaning is silent or unnamed.

I believe that much of my work is an exploration— looking for a sense of belonging, peace, a quiet truth that lies deep in my heart. It’s a journey of uncertainty as well as a fond tenderness that I offer to the viewer.  I hope my work offers not just an image, but a pause. A moment of whimsical peace, where one can simply rest and be.

If a viewer leaves my work feeling a little softer, a little more seen, or simply a little more at ease, then the story has done what it needed to do.
