Fantastic Nursery! Really could not ask for a better nursery for my child. Not a first-time mum so have experienced many different childcare settings, and this is by far one the best ones in the area. Small, attentive, and extremely caring. The stark contrast between this place and other larger conveyor belt style settings locally is astounding. Nothing is every too much for Jess and her team. Fresh healthy food cooked daily by a local chef is happily demolished by the kids! Nearly always get outdoor time/forest school activities and learning through day trips locally etc. Would whole heartedly recommend to anyone looking for a nursery in the GP/Emerson Park area.

My daughter has been attending The Railway Children since April this year as her previous nursery could not accommodate any extra days during the lockdown. We had a recommendation for the nursery from a colleague. Our daughter had been with her original nursery for two years. W were amazed at how different the experience at The Railway Children was for us and our daughter, so much so that we transferred all her days over. She settled in so quickly and has just thrived at this nursery. It feels much more personalised, and it feels that the staff take a very genuine interest in her. The staff seem to have to got to know her so well in such a short space of time. She is so happy and has really increased in confidence. We are very happy too, and only regret not knowing about the nursery sooner!

We visited the nursery whilst I was pregnant, and we instantly knew it was the nursery for us. The boutique setting with high staff ratio means our little girl gets all the attention and focus she needs to thrive. She absolutely loves it and cannot wait to go in the mornings. The staff are amazing and really get to know each child and their quirks. It always looks like the children are having so much fun and learning as they do it. We could not recommend the nursery more.

We found the railway children nursery after not being entirely happy with another local nursery we had chosen. We are so, so happy we did, everything has been fantastic from all the staff and you feel part of a family environment. Our little girl settled in straight away and has really taken a shine to everyone who cares for her. The activities they arrange are excellent and we have had lots of great ideas to try at home. Its amazing feeling like you are dropping your child of somewhere they truly enjoy being. We are so grateful to everyone at the railway children and for their ongoing effort and making this difficult time (COVID-19) so much fun for little ones. I’d recommend this nursery to everyone.

The railway children is a wonderful nurturing space for the children that go there. Marley looks forward to attending each day and literally runs through the door without any goodbye for me! There ethos is very child centered fostering autonomy and Marley has come so far developmentally during his time there. Communication is brilliant with parents and we have loved attending various family gatherings and getting to know other parents.

Our son has attended The Railway Children since it’s opening. He loves it and so do we. All of the staff are amazing and provide high quality, personalised care to the children. We receive regular progress updates and can view his daily diary’s on the App. It’s boutique style allows it to feel much more family orientated. The girls go above and beyond, and nothing is ever too much trouble. We love being a part of it

Both of my daughters attend The Railway Children and have done 3 days a week since September 2019. When they are there, I know that they are happy and genuinely cared for. The members of staff are very friendly and professional. All the team know them well, they’re likes and dislikes, what they’re learning and how they are developing, and they talk about them with affection. The staff provide regular feedback and they also have a great app where you can see everything your child is getting up to during the day, I love seeing the pictures they upload. I highly recommend this nursery, could not fault them They really do go above and beyond for all the children. The location is in a great place very convenient if you are travelling into London for work. I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at the nursery as they really have had such a positive impact on both of my daughters, the nursery has provided that extra encouragement to help them grow into lovely, confident girls.

Our twins attend The Railway Children nursery and love it! They are very comfortable in the environment, and we get regular feedback on their progress (through an app and during pickup & dropoff). The relatively small number of students means they get great levels of individual attention (compared to some of the well-known large nurseries in the area). The staff are helpful and friendly. When weather and pandemics aren't getting in the way, they've tried to organise social events that include the whole family. The other big benefit is the location - it is literally 10 seconds walk from the front gate to the ticket barrier in the Gidea Park station car park. It reduced my childcare drop off time from 30 minutes round trip with a child minder to 2 minutes extra.

The Railway Children GP is a lovely little nursery, whilst compact the space is well thought out and very convenient if in normal times you were to travel to London or even the opposite way! Our two year old son enjoys his fun activities whether it be painting, sand pit, biscuit decorating, trips to the park and if not during the pandemic the music lessons the nursery arranges and contributes to. The staff are friendly, approachable and have loads of energy to keep the little ones busy. They are very accommodating in allowing little ones attend an extra day if required at short notice. The blossom app is also a great app at seeing what your little one eats and does during the day. If your near-by and looking for a nursery which isn't your conventional chain I'd recommend you arrange a visit here.
