Lina Abate - Black History Month Contribution 2025
Black History Month is a time to honor the achievements, struggles, and contributions of Black people throughout history. It serves as a reminder of the resilience, culture, and progress of the Black community while acknowledging the injustices they have faced. During black history month we honor Martin Luther King Jr. who believed that the fight for justice wasn’t just about America, it was part of a global struggle. His famous quote, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere,” connects to Pan-Africanism, which unites Black people worldwide against oppression. Like African leaders fighting for independence, MLK saw racism as a shared struggle world wide. His dream of equality and unity continues to inspire the fight for Black liberation everywhere.
