Report by Hasti, Polina, and Viktor from IB Class of 2026 (13.12.2025)
From the 18th of June to the 9th of July of 2025, three IBDP students (Hasti, Polina, and Viktor) organized a bake sale for their CAS project in the NMS, specifically the Malala Fund which advocates for girls’ education worldwide. The Malala Fund is an international non-profit organisation, co-founded by Malala Yousafzai, the youngest Nobel Prize laureate for her activist work in regards to female education.
Over the course of three successful bake sales, with the preparation of a variety of homemade treats and handmade crafts, and with the waft of delectable aromas, the trio managed to raise over €100 with the help of the school community. These proceeds were all donated to the Malala Fund.
We, Hasti, Viktor, and Polina wholeheartedly enjoyed this new experience, where we dedicated ourselves to assembling everything we made with love and care, in the pursuit of a single end-goal of supporting female education. Though we faced initial challenges such as determining what we would prepare and how we would do so, we overcame such obstacles and learned to cooperate efficiently with one another. We are greatly thankful for the school community, for giving us the privilege to achieve such a feat and, most importantly, for helping us fund girls’ education.
If you are interested in supporting the Malala fund yourself, you can do so over https://malala.org/.
