We have appeared in the past in a film as part of the BBC Documentary series "When I get older". We have also been featured on Radio Kent and in The News Shopper, This is Local London and The Medway Times.
Our Musical Director - Adrian Connell
Our current musical director is Adrien Connell, who was previously the conductor for the Ruskin Choir in Croydon.
Adrian graduated in 1987 with a joint BA honours degree in English and Music with a major in composition and conducting. Professionally he has always worked in music publishing. However Adrian has always enjoyed making music and has enjoyed both playing and conducting a number of different ensembles. Adrian has previously worked as a freelance bass guitar player in a number of professional bands, and taught jazz improvisation for many years. Since 1991 Adrian has been involved with choral music and choral conducting. Adrian is also a published composer.
Our Piano Accompanist
We are pleased to introduce our accompanist, Jo Kemsley. Jo says, 'I've been playing the piano since I was four years old and studied Music at Bristol University. Past piano experiences are too numerous to mention here; but in 2018 I have played Elfrida Andree's Piano Quartet in Tokyo, performed Chopin's Cello Sonata in Aix-en-Provence, and played the keyboards for a big band at various gigs around London. I teach the piano in the Dartford area.'
Unfortunately in the summer 2024, Jo moved on to pastures new and we recruited a new accompanist Anita.
