Argillichthys toombsi is an extinct lizardfish from the Ypresian-aged London Clay Formation from Lower Eocene England. Argillichthys toombsi was a marine species of fish which had an active lifestyle and was carniverous. It is in the geological record between 56.0 - 47.8 Ma and can be found at a varity of different London Clay sites. It is most commonly known from skull fossils found in phosphatic nodules.
