Evaluating an IEP
Evaluating an IEP
Spot the Gaps!
In today's world, many IEPs meet legal standards but fall short of supporting the whole child. In this section, you'll review a sample IEP and apply four humanizing design principles (i.e., Strength-Based Language to identify areas for growth, student voice and choice, whole-child approach, and family collaboration.
These humanizing principles will help shift IEPs away from "what the student can’t do" toward strength-based, inclusive, and empowering plans.
Watch the three unique videos that highlights common IEP challenges and how families advocated for meaningful changes.
