I'm Kevin O. Torre, the founder of this innovative platform dedicated to empowering middle and high school students through essential learning tools and resources.

Professional Background

With over 20 years of experience in the military legal field, I have honed my skills in operational excellence, leadership, and instructional design. As a retired Sergeant Major (E9), I have managed legal teams, implemented innovative technologies, and improved service quality. My roles have included serving as the Command Paralegal NCO for the California Army National Guard, where I guided all aspects of paralegal personnel management and training for a division of over 14,000 soldiers. 

Educational Background

I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Learning Design & Technology from the University of Colorado Denver. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies from American Military University. 

Personal Background and Family Values

Family matters deeply to me. I have been married to my wife, Cynthia, for over 10 years, and together we are parents to five wonderful children. Two of my boys, aged 18 and 8, are diagnosed with autism. My experiences with them have profoundly educated me on the importance of navigating and finding various skills to grow and learn. This personal journey has reinforced my commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment for all students.

Volunteer and Community Involvement

I am actively involved in my community, serving as the Chairman of the West Hills High School Student Site Council. I am also a member of several organizations, including the Judge Advocate General’s Association of Legal Paraprofessionals, the Association of the United States Army, and the Autism Society of San Diego.

My vision for The Learning Design Hub is to create an inclusive, accessible, and supportive educational platform that equips students with the skills they need to succeed academically. Our Student Success Toolkit is designed to provide practical resources in key areas such as Study Skills and Time Management, with more areas to be added over time.
