ZINELEKSYON:
THE RUNNING COUNCILORS OF MALOLOS
ZINELEKSYON:
THE RUNNING COUNCILORS OF MALOLOS
The ZinEleksyon: The Running Councilors of Malolos Project is from Group Seven, Grade 12 from Humanities and Social Sciences of Marcelo H. del Pilar National Highschool which aims to examine the Candidates who will run in this Election 2025 and to further deepen the thoughts and perspectives of Malolenyo voters using Critical Thinking and deep Analysis.
As the 2025 midterm elections in the Philippines approach, Filipinos are gearing up for another crucial event in the nation’s democratic process. Midterm elections allow us to reassess the current political landscape, influence policy direction, and ensure that both national and local leaders are accountable to the people they serve. By participating in the electoral process, we contribute to the checks and balances that safeguard our democracy (Law, 2024).
Among the 18 councilorial candidates of the City of Malolos, only 10 would win the election. Who among these should you vote for? Is this the right person you should cast your vote to? Who is this candidate?
With these questions in mind, the project entitled “ZinEleksyon: The Running Councilors of Malolos” will help you acquire the necessary information in helping you make the right decision. This project is a compilation of all the information ranging from the candidate’s background information, credentials, accomplishments, and platforms that will be published into a zine distributed throughout the different barangays of Malolos and creation of a webpage of the same topic where it would be accessible to the public to reach a wider audience.
THE OBJECTIVES OF THIS PROJECT ARE:
A. To gather and spread information about the running city councilors of Malolos
B. To help the public, especially the voters, make an informed choice on who to vote for in this mid-term election
C. To create a credible source of information about the running city councilors of Malolos
The proposed zine and webpage would benefit people significantly in terms of obtaining credible and reliable information about the candidates running for councilors at Malolos City. The project could also serve as a template for other people to create an avenue to combat fake news and misinformation which is rampant especially during the elections.
