Romans are amused when human beings kill their fellow human beings in a cruel way.
Gladiator fights would fight to the death, sometimes accompanied by animals, to entertain the masses of Rome.
The victims of Roman Executions were criminals, Roman Army deserters, rebels, traitors, runaway slaves and Christians. They were thrown to the wild beasts, nailed to the cross and burned alive as torches to light the arena of the Colosseum, to entertain the vicious and cruel Romans.
No Roman citizen could be sentenced to crucifixion. Roman Citizens were not crucified (Roman Crucifixion), they were beheaded.
