Rome Attempts to Replace Jerusalem with herself

Rome calls itself the eternal city, replacing Yahweh's eternal city Jerusalem:

Rome was known as the Eternal City even among the ancient Romans themselves. It is referred to as "Roma Aeterna" (The Eternal City) and "Caput Mundi" (Capital of the World), two central notions in ancient Roman culture. In Vergil’s Aeneid Jupiter tells Venus that he will give the Romans imperium sine fine, “an empire without end.”

Rome is also praised as a queen and daughter of the god of war by Babylonians:

Isaiah 47:5-7

Sit silently, and go into darkness,

O daughter of the Chaldeans,

For you will no longer be called

The queen of kingdoms.

I was angry with My people,

I profaned My heritage

And gave them into your hand.

You did not show mercy to them,

On the aged you made your yoke very heavy.

Yet you said, ‘I will be a queen forever.’

You did not reflect on your actions,

Nor think about their consequences.
