My Moutain Sea

Dale L. Morgan Published The Great Salt Lake in 1947. His first chapter, “The Mountain

Sea,” has been stuck with me since the moment I read it. My relationship with the Great Salt

Lake has reshaped over the course of 2024, and it all started with Morgan's book. I wanted to pay

homage to his love and reverence for the Great Salt Lake while also showing how mine has

grown. My Mountain Sea is made up of cut-out photos of personal images taken at the Great Salt

Lake and surrounded by flyers passed out at a protest to advocate for the Great Salt Lake. I have

spent a year learning and loving the Great Salt Lake, and I’m grateful for the relationship I’ve

grown to have.
