What brings our team together is a shared belief that every child deserves to be understood, supported, and given the tools to succeed. The Elijah Project is rooted in compassion, inclusion, creativity, and real classroom experience. We are united by one common goal: to create meaningful resources that help children build confidence, strengthen their skills, and feel seen in their learning journey. Whether we are developing social stories, lesson plans, activities, or family supports, our work is guided by the same purpose — helping children grow with dignity, joy, and possibility.

Leadership

The Elijah Project is led by Renée Barton-Rose, founder, educator, mother, writer, and advocate for children with different learning needs. Renée brings both classroom experience and personal experience to this work, using her background in education, special education support, literacy, creativity, and community advocacy to guide the mission of the project. Her leadership is rooted in the belief that children should not be defined by their challenges, but supported through them with patience, structure, love, and meaningful tools. Through The Elijah Project, she works to create resources that help students feel seen, help families feel supported, and help educators reach children in ways that honor who they are.

We are building a space where students, families, and educators can access meaningful curriculum resources, social stories, interactive learning tools, and culturally responsive support.
