New Year. Same Grind.
Higher Standards.

January 2026
The calendar says 2026. The mountains outside my window in Bulle (Switzerland) don't care. The Moléson is still covered in snow, indifferent to your resolutions or your "fresh start."
6:15 AM. The Garmin vibrates. The Negotiator is there, whispering that 2026 should start with a rest day. That I’ve earned a slow morning.
I kill him before the coffee is even brewed.
We don’t need a new version of ourselves. We need a more consistent one. This year isn't about radical transformation, it’s about elevating the standard in the dark so we can lead in the light.
Here is how we own 2026.
We don’t train for the mirror. We train for capacity.
At 47, your body is either an asset or a liability. This year, we make it an asset. That means GPP, General Physical Preparedness. It means being able to shoulder a heavy pack, sprint when necessary, and move without pain.
We are building a body that is potent and resilient. When life throws a crisis at you, a family emergency, a physical demand, a grueling travel schedule, you don't fold. You endure. The garage sessions are the deposit, life is the withdrawal. Ensure your account is full.
The modern office is a sea of distraction and "busy-ness" that yields nothing.
In 2026, we bring the discipline of the barbell to the desk. We stop reacting and start leading. This means choosing the hardest, most consequential task first. No fluff. No endless meetings that could have been an email.
We lead with focus and integrity. While others are scrolling, we are producing. We maintain a quiet intensity that speaks louder than any corporate buzzword. You don't work more hours, you work with more intent.
This is where the grind matters most.
It is easy to be "the boss" or "the athlete." It is harder to be the father who has energy left at 6:00 PM after a long day. Your family doesn't need your excuses about how tired you are. They need your presence.
Being a strong role model is the ultimate grind. It’s showing your children what discipline looks like in real-time. It’s helping with the school prep, finding the lost socks, and being emotionally available when the house is chaotic. We train so we can show up as our best for them.
Most men feel like their lives are happening to them. They are passengers in their own story.
2026 is about taking the wheel back. It starts with the first choice of the day: getting out of bed when the vibration hits your wrist. One disciplined choice at a time, you regain control over your schedule, your health, and your legacy.
The standard has been raised. Now, do the work.
