Scholarship Program
Purpose: As part of its mission, and in accordance with the organization's desire to contribute to its home community, The Craftworkers' Guild offers a $500 scholarship to a deserving student with a demonstrated interest in applied/manual arts or craft, who will be continuing his or her education upon graduation from Bedford High School.
Eligibility: Students graduating from Bedford High School who will enroll in an accredited post-secondary school or specialized technical program with a creative, hands-on component are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Examples of eligible programs include, but are not limited to: manual arts, fine arts, graphic arts, design, sculpture, architecture, engineering, art education or therapy, photography, videography, etc.
Completed scholarship applications are due back April 30.
2021 Scholarship Recipients:
Congratulations to graduating seniors Roisin Russell, Sarah Avampato and Lorelei Mannon who were each awarded $500 scholarships from The Craftworkers' Guild. Roisin plans to study Biomedical Engineering at the University of Miami. Sarah plans to study Chinese and Linguistics at the University of Rhode Island and who is an avid photographer. Lorelei plans to study Costume Design and Illustration at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
2020 Scholarship Recipient:
Congratulations to graduating senior Abigail Gilligan of Bedford High School who received a $500 scholarship from The Craftworkers' Guild. Abigail will be a student of architecture at Hobart and William Smith College in Geneva, NY in the fall.
