In January, The Cinderella Project Seattle proudly celebrated its 1st Birthday, a major milestone marking one full year of community, growth, and impact.
While our official anniversary falls on January 27th, we gathered on January 25th for a special Valentine-themed Birthday Boutique Day, bringing together Seattle youth, community members, and local organizations for a meaningful and joy-filled celebration.
The event welcomed youth ages 13–21 into a safe, uplifting space where they could explore our boutique, access free formalwear and essentials, and participate in hands-on activities such as cupcake decorating and canvas painting. We also offered a care and hygiene station, reinforcing our commitment to supporting the whole person, not just for special occasions, but in everyday life.
In addition to serving youth, the event functioned as a donation drive. Community members contributed new and gently used formalwear, shoes, accessories, and new makeup, helping us continue to expand our inventory and reach more students throughout the year.
This celebration was more than just a birthday; it was a reflection of everything we’ve built in our first year: strong community connections, increased access to resources, and countless moments where young people felt confident, seen, and celebrated.
As we look ahead, we are incredibly excited for what’s to come. Year two will bring even more opportunities to grow, serve, and show up for our community in bigger ways.
On October 14th, 2025, The Cinderella Project Seattle hosted a Cinderella Pop-Up at the Lake City Branch Library, continuing our mission to bring resources directly into different neighborhoods across Seattle.
This event was supported by a generous clothing donation from Friends of Ingraham, helping us provide a wide selection of items for those in attendance.
While this pop-up was a smaller-scale version of our signature Cinderella Day, it remained just as meaningful and impactful. We were able to serve not only youth but also adults, expanding our reach and meeting the needs of a broader community.
Attendees had access to clothing, essentials, and a welcoming space where they could feel supported and cared for. The event reflected our belief that everyone deserves access to resources, confidence, and community, regardless of age or background.
This pop-up demonstrated the power of showing up consistently, even in smaller ways, and reinforced our commitment to accessibility and community-centered care.
On September 27th, The Cinderella Project Seattle hosted its very first Cinderella Day at the Beacon Hill Branch Library, marking a powerful and memorable beginning to our work in the community.
With the support of 10 dedicated volunteers, we brought this event to life. Each volunteer generously contributed their time, energy, and skills to create a welcoming, organized, and uplifting experience for every student who attended.
This event was made possible through the generosity of 20+ donors, including organizations like Seattle Youth Ministries and Friends of Ingraham, as well as individuals who believed in our mission and showed up in meaningful ways.
During our first-ever Cinderella Day, we served 65 attendees, providing access to formal attire, essential resources, and a supportive environment where students could feel confident, celebrated, and seen. For many, this experience went beyond receiving clothing it was about feeling a sense of belonging and community.
Cinderella Day laid the foundation for everything we continue to build today: a space rooted in empowerment, accessibility, and care for Seattle youth.
