I’m a long-term reptile keeper, educator, and small-scale breeder with experience going back to 2007, and consistently since 2018. My focus is on thoughtful reptile care, ethical breeding, and helping keepers better understand the long-term commitment these animals require.
In 2021, I began breeding skunk geckos and golden geckos, eventually narrowing my focus to skunk geckos as my primary breeding species. That same year, I joined my local herpetological society as a reptile educator, working to share accurate, experience-based information with both new and experienced keepers.
Also in 2021, I acquired my first European glass lizard (Sheltopusik), which sparked a deep interest in uncommon and less-represented reptile species. By 2025, that interest grew into a dedicated project, and I now keep a small group of European glass lizards with the goal of captive breeding and long-term sustainability.
While I briefly considered breeding more popular species like hognose snakes, I ultimately chose to focus on less common reptiles rather than chasing trends or oversaturating an unpredictable market. My work centers on education-first content, realistic care expectations, and supporting keepers who want their animals to truly thrive long-term.
At The Caffeinated Lizard, my mission is to nurture a community built on curiosity, compassion, and responsible reptile care. I am committed to ethical breeding practices, lifelong learning, and sharing clear, accessible education that empowers others to appreciate and care for reptiles with confidence and respect. Through integrity, patience, and passion, I strive to celebrate the beauty of these animals while inspiring others to do the same.
