Cub Scouting is for youth in kindergarten through fifth grade.

Scouts BSA Troop 707

Youth can join Scouts BSA if they are at least 10 years old, currently in the fifth grade and register on or after March 1st; OR have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old, OR are age 11 but have not reached age 18.

Venturing Crew 707

Venturing are for young men and women at least 13 years old who have completed the eighth grade, or are age 14 and not yet 21.

Sea Scout Ship 1000

Sea Scouting are for young men and women at least 13 years old who have completed the eighth grade, or are age 14 and not yet 21.

The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is the world’s leading youth achievement award, equipping young people for life. The Award is available for all young people aged 14 to 24, regardless of their background, culture, physical ability, skills, and interests. It is a fully inclusive program and has no social, political, or religious affiliations.

The President's Volunteer Service Award

The President’s Volunteer Service Award is on a temporary pause, as decided by AmeriCorps effective May 27, 2025.

The Baden Powell Legacy Foundation empowers youth to become capable leaders and responsible citizens through outdoor adventure, service, and character-building programs inspired by the values of Scouting. We preserve and promote the enduring legacy of Lord Baden-Powell by supporting training, resources, and opportunities that foster leadership, self-reliance and the outdoors.

At Philmont Scout Ranch

In 2018, The Baden Powell Legacy Foundation made a financial donation to the National Scouting Museum at Philmont Scout Ranch. In recognition of the donation, there is a brick in front of the museum with the Baden Powell Legacy Foundation's name and the Philmont Scout Ranch logo on it.
