A panel discussion with three leading Agile thought leaders exploring where Agile could and should go next after it's 20 year evolution
The manifesto set us on a journey of finding better ways of developing software. The goal of the activity is to create awareness about Lean-Agile Mindset and start a journey of finding better ways to govern a society in the 21st century. Although I am already promoting Agile within African and Nigerian communities specifically. The need to run this activity was birthed as a result of the recent #endsars movement and the killing of youths in Nigeria. The activity will take the form of a live stream with a quest and audience participation on the subject of good Governance. There will be a game/zoom session of (17 people) to come up with the Manifesto and 12 principles for good governance in Nigeria with their names appended to it. It will be socialised amongst Agilist and non Agilist in Nigeria and as much as possible. This idea is still rudimentary and I hope to share it with a couple of Agile communities in Nigeria to expand on it. We will also develop a simple Governance structure to reach grassroot easily.

The context behind the Manifesto(s)
The Agile Manifesto was not written in isolation - it was in response to the events in 1990s - early 2000s. To understand the manifesto, it is important to understand why it was written. However in 2015 - 2017 - another set of related manifestos / approaches were developed.... why? What changed?
At the 20 year mark - what can we expect over the next 20 years and will any of these be relevant?

We’ll explore a business agility roadmap and unpack both technical and organisational design solutions that help us achieve better business agility and build a customer-centric organisation.
We’ll use examples from my professional experience to show how we can align the technical aspects of the agile adoption to a shift in culture, structure and leadership patterns and realise the benefits of the agile approach.
