Building on my recent work to create a community visual showing the courses & learning resources one might like to use to develop their agile coaching competence, I would like to run a community experiment.
How it works
I have started off a Miro board (See below)
This board has a map of the world and one of the UK on it and I have plotted a number of the meet ups on it that I am aware of, or have attended in the UK. I have linked these through to their 'Meet up' page
As a community, lets fill in the blanks. Let's create the rest of the world.
The idea of the book is to share practitioners' experiences, their journey in Agile, their pivotal moments and what they learned to evolve their practice. Think of it as your Agile Biography, I think 6-10 pages of A4 for brevity.
If you can get your draft to me by the end of November at the latest. I may come back to you regarding your content with some questions but I won’t edit your experience. The book is not trying to prove anything so there will be no additions to your content. The book is focused on People's experiences as Agile focuses on people.
Questions Framework (writing style to be informal)
How did you hear about Agile and how did you first get involved?
What was your first experience of applying Agile and what did you learn?
How has your experience and practice of Agile evolved?
Can you share any pivotal work or case studies?
Where do you go from here?
At the end please put in any details you want to promote or point to in terms of links.
The book will be published through Amazon with the first version being in Kindle (I’ll format the book for that) and version will also be available in print. Whatever money is made will be shared equally by the authors after Amazon takes it huge cut. If you want to participate contact Karl Smith the compiler on LinkedIn.
