2027 SCMA Four Corners TRUE X

This ride is definitely not for everyone. Including your ride to the start point and then your ride home after you finish, it will be about 13,000 miles. Planning is critical as we are doing it in 19 days for special recognition. You'll do an oil change the day before day #1 and two more while on the adventure. You'll ride through at least 29 different states depending on where you live. You'll experience mountains, deserts, cities, and coastlines. You'll see the extreme corners of the lower 48 in Key West, FL; Blaine, WA; San Ysidro, CA; and Madawaska, ME. In between each of those you are required to visit the center of the USA for the lower 48 in Lebanon, KS. The bling packages for completing this adventure are excellent and will show that you are truly a long distance rider.

Currently there are only 5 riders considering this adventure. In 2024 4 riders did the basic USA Four Corners Tour and we all loved it. It seemed so easy we thought we can step up a grade to do the True X version. I hope you can join us.

This adventure is tentatively set for June 7th, 2027, but meetings and discussions will adjust this. One major factor we'll look at is how the starting date affects the metro areas we will have to go through and the Lebanon, KS stops. We'll also look at day of the week and time of day for these areas. Metro areas of concern are Miami-Dade, Atlanta, St. Louis, Nashville, Seattle, Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, and the greater New England zone. We can't avoid them all, but good planning will reduce the time in bad traffic. Register so you can be invited to the meetings.

The SCMA Four Corners True X is a major upgrade from the standard Four Corners adventure. In 2025 we did the Four Corners and it was much easier than expected. Yes, it too 15 days, one of which we did nothing due to snow on I-90, but at about 7,000 miles that was not bad. It was an accomplishment, but it wasn't nearly as hard as I anticipated as I turned 72 while on the ride.

The TRUE X version is similar, but at the same time it is quite different. To start with, it is about 11,000 miles not counting your miles to the start and riding home after you finish. You ride to each corner and after each one ride to Lebanon, KS, the geographical center of the USA. You have 26 days to finish. I am creating plans for discussion that target the 19 day approximation. Planning this ride is more complex than I thought it would be due to planning oil changes at the 5,000 mile intervals. For those that rely on dealerships and shops, this is harder to find... but I'm working on it. BTW, finishing TRUE X in 21 days or less gets extra recognition on the SCMA page for finishers. Only 37 riders finished the Four Corners USA in the regular and True-X formats in 2025. Only 2 in True X.

If you are interested in this, be part of the discussion. Register. If you back out, that is understandable most of the time. Life happens. The Four Corners ride had 10 riders registered. Only 4 actually completed the ride. The TRUE X will not have days for fun riding. It's about completing this endurance ride. Current plans (they will be discussed and perfected) are to leave the Key West corner on June 2nd, 2027. We may adjust that. You can also join the TRUE X group on Facebook.
