2023 Fall Foliage Ride
Registration is now closed.
HOTELS ARE SET. GPX FILES ARE READY!!!
The entire ride is only about 1,312 miles across the five days, but it's scenic and dramatic. You'll have to calculate your ride to the starting point, which is out in the mountains at Oconaluftee Visitor Center (click the link to get directions) just north of Cherokee, NC. I'll be doing New Found Gap from Pigeon Forge, but from other places there are lots of ways to get there. You'll have fun just getting to the starting point. Top off in Cherokee before going to Oconaluftee.
KSU from Oconaluftee Visitor Center is 10:00 AM. Plan your route to that starting point so that you are there, with a full tank, in time for departure.
The ride will do the entire Blue Ridge Parkway and then the entire Shenandoah National Park Skyline Drive. This consumes three days for incredible riding and scenery. We then travel some great back roads into West Virginia and Virginia. On the way home we'll pick up the Back of the Dragon and some other great roads in Virginia and Tennessee.
