The payment for the conference consists of
(I) The registration fee, and
(II) The conference fee.
The payment of the fees is a requirement for participation in the SIS-13 Congress. Waiving the conference fee is impossible.

The Registration Desk will be open at the Congress venue on the first day of the Congress.
SIS and SEMA members can pay their registration and membership fees on-site.
Only cash (in Euros) will be accepted for on-site payments. ATMs are not available in the Congress venue; the nearest ATMs are available at the Chania airport, upon arrival, and in the town of Kolymbari.
Cancellation/refund policy.
No cancellation refund will be possible.

(II) CONFERENCE FEE
The Orthodox Academy of Crete offers three options of conference fee for staying in the OAC from Friday, 22 August 2025 (arrival day – no scientific meetings – earliest check-in day) until Friday, 29 August 2025 (departure day – no scientific meetings – latest check-out: 9:30 am).
Single-room package at the OAC: 1480 EUR per person.
Double/Shared room package at the OAC: 1170 EUR per person.
Outside-OAC accommodation package (in case of completion of the OAC rooms): 880 EUR per person.
Packages 1 and 2 include:
a) Up to 7-nights accommodation.
b) Up to three meals daily (breakfast, lunch and dinner, including white and red wine during lunch and dinner) based on local food and the Cretan cuisine.
c) Up to two coffee breaks daily, including coffee, tea, orange juice and Cretan traditional biscuits, all at the OAC premises.
d) Welcome Reception.
e) Conference room (no hybrid facilities).
f) 3 shuttles for transfers from the Chania airport (CHQ) to the OAC on arrival and one shuttle from the OAC to the Chania airport (CHQ) on departure.
g) Conference excursion – bus transfers are included.
h) 1 bus transfer from the OAC to Chania and return to visit the Old Venetian Port and attend a Cultural Event (the Cultural Event will not be paid by the OAC).
i) Admission to all sessions/symposia/workshops taking place at the premises of the OAC.
The participants have to select either Package 1 or 2 until the rooms of the OAC become full. Staying at the OAC facilitates interaction and exchange of ideas, which is necessary for the success of the Congress.
The Third Package concerns participants who, in case of completion of the OAC rooms, are compelled to book accommodation outside the OAC (in hotels, Airbnb, etc.). This package is obligatory for all the Congress participants who will have accommodation outside the OAC. Selective participation only at sessions inside the Conference Hall without paying the whole package is not permitted.
Accordingly, Package 3 includes

⚠️The prices in all Packages include the cost of using the premises of the OAC (the main Conference Hall of the OAC), the necessary technical equipment (laptop, projectors and screens, microphones, speakers, poster stands, etc.), technical support, and the organisation of social events (Welcome Reception). Thus, the payment of the conference fee is a prerequisite for admission to all sessions/symposia/workshops and events taking place at the premises of the OAC. We must also emphasise that all Packages are not offered on a day-by-day basis. Moreover, no exclusion of some components from a Package is permitted. The packages are fixed.
🗓️The prices for participants who wish to stay additional nights will be handled separately, depending on the availability of rooms at the OAC and the arrival and departure dates requested.

The payment is non-refundable.
The OAC is entitled to issue a Notice of Receipt as an official document for payment. Because of its legal status, the OAC cannot issue any other type of receipt (e.g., an invoice that contains VAT). Please consider it if you plan to submit a payment document to your university to reimburse your expenses.
