"That's so gay": A Society of Systemic Homophobia

When you use the term, "That's so gay," do you know what you mean? Do you know who's listening? 87% of Americans know someone who identifies as a part of the LGBTQ+ community. Using 'gay' as a negative term undermines the barriers the LGBTQ+ community has overcome to get where we are. Our goal with this project is to educate the students at SLHS about the use of derogatory language on school campus, and hopefully change the use of this language in our community as a whole.
