2023
I am co-organizing a special session on Commutative Algebra at the CMS Winter meeting, December 2023, Montreal with Sankhaneel Bisui and Adam Van Tuyl. If you are interested in giving a 20-minute talk, feel free to send us an email.
I am going to attend and speak at Algebra Days at Arizona State, November 3-5.
I am going to speak at Fall Central AMS Special Session on Varieties with unexpected hypersurfaces, geproci sets and their interactions, Omaha, Nebraska, October 7-8.
I was not able to attend but Sankhaneel Bisui still presented our poster at Conference on Unexpected and Asymptotic Properties of Algebraic Varieties 2023 (Brianfest), August 11-13.
I spoke about Some Invariants of Geometrically Vertex Decomposable Ideals at Conference on Commutative Algebra and its interaction with Algebraic Geometry and Combinatorics 2023, Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics, June 19-23. Hue Team with Trung Le and me
I presented 3 seminar talks on Duality for Asymptotic Invariants; Newton-Okounkov bodies associated to graded families of ideals; Geometrically Vertex Decomposable Ideals at GAA Seminar, Hue University of Education, April 27, May 4, and June 8.
I visited Vietnam Institute of Mathematics during summer 2023 and spoke about Duality for Asymptotic Invariants at Algebraic Geometry Seminar.
I attended the workshop on Interactions Between Topological Combinatorics and Combinatorial Commutative Algebra at Banff International Research Station, April 2-7 and joined a project on Unobstructed Matroids. Tai's Students at Banff Group Photo While at Banff
I spoke about Duality for Asymptotic Invariants at Queen's University Algebra and Geometry Seminar, March 06. Me at Kingston
I spoke about Newton-Okounkov bodies associated to graded families of ideals at Combinatorial Algebra Meets Algebraic Combinatorics (CAAC) Conference, University of Waterloo, January 21. Tai's Students at CAAC2023 McMaster's Team at CAAC2023
This year, the annual Math For All in New Orleans took place at February 24-25th, 2023. I was one of the organizers the Math For All in New Orleans in February 2022 at Tulane University. Math for all in New Orleans has the purpose of fostering inclusivity in mathematics by holding talks and discussions in both research and education; and especially, providing a friendly, open environment to learn and discuss mathematics. Please check the website if you are interested in giving a short research talk, or presenting a poster (even an expository poster) next year. It will be fun! Math for all also cooperate with satellite conferences from various locations. MFA2022 MFA2021 MFA2020
