Class Rules & Policies

1. You may go to the bathroom at any time without asking for permission. Please avoid disturbing other classes.
2. Don't buy anything for Mr. Yang and don't buy sweet drinks for Mr. Yang.
3. Do not leave class early without being excused. You may be given a detention.
4. Please deposit your phones in the bin. Any unauthorized use of phones would be subjected to detentions. Your phone will go to "phone jail" at guidance until the end of the day.
5. If you use your own computer to play games during class time, you will lose the privilege of using your own device for the rest of the term and receive a detention.
6. You may use your phone with Mr. Yang's permission at Mr. Yang's desk.

1. All work are due 2 school days after the last day on when we work on it

e.g. If we finish 3.4 Desaturation on Monday, it's due at 11:59pm on Wednesday.

1. If you are late for submitting your work, Mr. Yang will still generate a rubric with your name on
2. If you a consistently late, the school policy states that a 5% late penalty will be applied per day of lateness, and anything beyond 2 weeks will receive a ZERO ;(
3. When Mr. Yang marks the work, he prints as many copies of rubrics as number people in class. If you miss getting a mark for an assignment, simply get the copy of rubric with your name, and come to Mr. Yang to mark it.
4. There is a chance that an error can occur. Once you get your mark report, please cross-reference your marks with your rubrics.
5. On your mark report, "--" means "No Mark" and does not affect your work. "Zero!" means that you received a 0% grade for your assignment and it negatively affects your overall mark.
6. Please do NOT use Google Docs in any of your submissions. Please use *.PDF, *.docx, *.doc or *.txt files only.

1. You are allowed to have 3 absences per term. Please refer to Edmodo for that day's work
2. If you are late for 15+ minutes, please get a late slip from the office before coming to class
3. If you must miss the day, please email attendance@braemarcollege.com
4. If you are late for less than 15 minutes 3 times, you will be issued a detention

1. Please use your legal name on ZOOM and Edmodo with your preferred Canadian name in brackets ( )
2. Please DO NOT use any special characters (é, â, î ô) or strange names because I would not be able to message you if needed
3. Please learn to capitalize your words and use punctuation properly. This would help increase the quality of your work and ease of communication
4. Please DO NOT use Google Doc for any submissions in writing (as mentioned before). They take much longer for me to open. -10% will be deducted for instances after 3 times
5. Please review what you missed on Edmodo and the recorded lecture before asking what you missed. Please make sure read all the rubrics, requirements and links in detail. Most of your answers are already there!
6. The more help a student gets from me to revise your work, the higher the quality of work and skill level a student generally can achieve. Watching the tutorials, demonstrations and doing the work is only half of the ingredients for success for this course
