Chauncey D. Harmon completed a history of African Americans in Pulaski Virginia in 1986. Chauncey Harmon was a student, educator, and administrator in the Pulaski County School System. Harmon was a graduate of the Tuskegee Institute who decided to come back to his rural southwest Virginia roots to teach. Mr. Harmon would later become the principal of the Calfee Training School and play a pivotal role in establishing equality in the educational system for students of color.
