The Chief of Staff serves as a senior executive advisor within the New York City Police Department and plays a key role in supporting the Police Commissioner and executive leadership in the coordination, administration, and execution of departmental priorities. The Chief of Staff ensures that strategic initiatives, policies, and operational directives are effectively communicated and implemented across all bureaus and commands.
Acting as a central point of coordination, the Chief of Staff works closely with bureau chiefs, command staff, and executive personnel to align department-wide operations with leadership objectives.
