The Watchu Experience

Welcome to the Watchu Experience, Patriots' Path Council's trail to Philmont.  Watchu is an 18-month-long program of teenage high adventure, capped by a backpacking trek at Philmont Scout Ranch near Cimarron, New Mexico.  Patriots’ Path Council of northern New Jersey makes it easier than ever to be a part of this unique and exciting experience provided by the National Council of Boy Scouts of America.  Every summer we send at least twenty crews of twelve persons each to Philmont. 

Each January we accept crew applications for the following summer.  Consult our Calendar to see the process for each crew.  The crew applications are posted the previous November (for example, the 2026 crew applications will be posted in November of 2024). For individuals and units without enough interested participants to make a full crew, please submit a High Adventure Interest Form so we can potentially match you with other crews.
