Visa

• Romanian nationals who wish to stay for more than thirty (30) days in the Philippines and nationals of other countries are not extended the 30-day visa free privilege should apply for a visa before travelling to the Philippines.

• Returning Balikbayans or former Filipinos may also enter the Philippines without a visa and stay for a period of one (1) year, provided that they have a passport valid for 6 months beyond the intended stay in the Philippines, a roundtrip ticket, and proof of former Philippine citizenship (e.g. old Philippine passport or NSO/PSA birth certificate).  Foreign spouses and their minor children may avail themselves of this privilege if travelling with the Balikbayan.

*Bulgarian and Moldovan nationals can apply for visas at the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Sofia and Philippine Honorary Consulate in Chisinau, respectively.

General Requirements for 9(a) Visa :

1. Completed visa application form;

2. Original and photocopy of applicant’s passport with six (6) months validity beyond intended stay in the Philippines;

3. Proof of financial capacity (any of the following):

a. Bank statements (at least 6 months);

b. Employment certificate with remuneration;

c. Proof of business income;

d. Letter of guarantee from the sponsor with proof of financial capacity

4. Documents proving ties to the home country/country of residence (any of the following):

a. Employment certificate;

b. Property documents

5. Round trip flight itinerary to country of origin or next country of destination;

6. Hotel accommodation or proof of lodging;

7. Itinerary;

8. For minors not travelling with parents/guardian, a permission from parent or guardian;

9. Visa Fee: 150 LEI (Single-entry valid for 3 months)
