PARTICIPANT INFORMATION
TIME: Please arrive at the park by 8:30 AM. This is very important to ensure that a 9 AM start time is possible.
PARKING: Please park in the back by the amphitheater (follow the signs). If that lot fills, you can park in one of the lots in the front of the park.
DROP-OFF: If being dropped off, you are encouraged to be dropped off in the front section of the park near the basketball court. Individuals should then walk to the amphitheater in the rear of the park. This will help with traffic flow. There should be NO DROP OFFS near the amphitheater.

At the registration table you will receive a team bag containing wristbands with your heat number and starting time on them, as well as other info. You must be wearing the wristband in order to participate in the race. You also MUST start at your assigned time, with your assigned heat. Heats will leave every 10 minutes starting promptly at 9:00 AM.
WHAT TO WEAR: Check the forecast ahead of time. The event will take place RAIN OR SHINE! We strongly suggest that you do not wear your brand new pair of sneakers or nice clothing for this event. You WILL be getting dirty and wet, so plan accordingly. We also strongly suggest bringing a change of clothes, shoes, and a towel.
SPECTATORS: Spectators are encouraged to attend. They can walk around the park to watch the race. They cannot enter the roped-off course.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
ARRIVAL & PARKING: PLEASE ARRIVE AT ELM RIDGE PARK BETWEEN 7:15-7:30 AM. This is very important! Please park in the lot near the Amphitheater and walk up to the stage. If possible, please consider carpooling. After you arrive, sign in at the registration tent. We will talk to all volunteers as a group and you will then receive your volunteer assignment and instructions. The race should be done by 11:30 am.
WHAT TO WEAR: Please be aware of the weather! Your weather app may say it will be warm on Sunday, but it definitely will not be very warm at the time of the race. You will be standing around, so dress accordingly - it will be quite chilly in the morning. The weather currently looks unsettled and there is a good chance of passing showers. It may also be breezy and cool. Some areas of the park will be wet, so consider wearing some type of waterproof shoe or boots. Your best bet is to wear layers and bring gloves and a hat.
RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be assigned to either an obstacle to oversee or another important station. It is very important that you do NOT leave your assigned station until the race is over (you will be notified when the last teams are done). Safety is the #1 priority. There is no inherent danger with any of the obstacles, but anything can happen so you must be vigilant at all times. You will receive more specific information that morning. Please make sure you follow the guidelines as provided to you. Don’t change or alter an obstacle. You’ll be responsible for explaining directions, ensuring participants follow directions, and encouraging teams. Don’t be afraid to get loud!
CLEAN UP VOLUNTEERS: If you volunteered to clean up, we begin as soon as the race is over. It will take a few hours, so plan to be done by around 3:00 pm.
VOLUNTEER HOURS: Student volunteers who are using this event towards their volunteer graduation requirement should fill out a community service form and bring it to Dr. Rosenberg or Mr. Bobrow to sign.
