Terrier Tough is a 5k obstacle course run by teams designed to test all-around strength, stamina, team-work, and mental grit.

What is Terrier Tough?

The Terrier Tough competition is a 5k obstacle course run by teams of 4, designed to test all-around strength, stamina, team-work, and mental grit. Races attract nearly 500 participants who complete the course of 20+ obstacles. Though we've been sidelined for the past 2 years, Terrier Tough 2022 looks to make a comeback. This year's event will focus on RHHS student teams and will feature some of our best obstacles, and obviously, plenty of mud! Do you have what it takes to be Terrier Tough?

Who We Are

Terrier Tough was created in 2015 to serve as the primary fundraiser for Rocky Hill High School's annual student service trip to New Orleans to help build houses with Habitat for Humanity. Nowadays, Terrier Tough is a fundraiser for school and community causes and has also helped fund a scholarship for deserving seniors who provide service to their community. This year, the grade level that registers the largest number of participants, will earn a large donation to their class fund.

Terrier Tough 2022 Divisions

This year, there will be three student divisions (Male, Female, & Coed) and a faculty division. Teams must each have 3-4 members since many of the obstacles require a minimum of three individuals.

The plan is to return to the traditional Student and Adult divisions in 2023, with timed starts and finishes, as we have done in the past.
