Outside academia

One of my great passions is painting. When I was a child I attended drawing classes for several years. During my doctorate at the European University Institute, Florence, I also attended a painting studio in Fiesole. Then I abandoned pencils and brushes for some time (too long) but three years ago I took them up again. And here I am still. Learning every day and enjoying a lot my classes in a village in the northern mountains of Madrid. A sample of my latest paintings:
