For Regular Membership:
Person must be male, 21 years or older and of Portuguese descent by either a father or mother being Portuguese. Applications will be investigated by at least three of our officers and presented to the assembly within two successive meetings. Applications must also include recommendations. The applicant must appear in person before the assembly, considering the application before the final approval is given. Our membership roll may not exceed more than 99 paid members. Those 65 or older who have been members for at least five years will receive a gold card to represent their commitment to the club.
For Social Membership:
Any male who is 21+ and of good character and reputation may file an application. Three officers must approve the application before it is brought to the assembly in which the final decision is based on the sole discretion of the majority of the officers. The applicant does not need to be of Portuguese descent. Social memberships can be terminated at any time for poor behavior.
For Honorary Membership:
Any person may, for good cause, be voted by 2/3 of the assembly as an honorary member. Said membership may be discontinued or canceled by a 2/3 vote of the general assembly for poor behavior or the image of the club. Honorary members are not allowed to vote on any matters within the club. No payments are necessary to become an honorary member. Once made an honorary member, they cannot become an officer or employee of this organization.
