Welcome to the vibrant heart of the Portuguese American community
Teófilo Braga Brotherhood Literary and Social Club
Established on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1913, this non-profit organization thrives on a proud legacy and heartfelt camaraderie. With a diverse membership of 131 individuals—ranging from regular enthusiasts to gold card bearers, honorary dignitaries, and social mavens—the club is a living testament to collective spirit and Portuguese pride.
Our club proudly bears the name of the illustrious Joaquim Teófilo Fernandes Braga, a revered statesman whose brilliance shone in literature and academia as a renowned professor at the University of Coimbra. Celebrated for his role as the President of Portugal's Provisional Government in 1910, Braga's legacy infuses our mission with purpose and inspiration.
Since our inception, we have been more than just a gathering place—we are a beacon of support and empowerment for Portuguese immigrants. Our resource center buzzes with activity, offering guidance on education paths, job opportunities, and vital social services. Here, security meets companionship as we tirelessly assist countless immigrants in renewing their U.S. Green Cards or embarking on the journey to U.S. Citizenship.
Teofilo Braga Brotherhood is not just a club; it is a haven of knowledge, friendship, and opportunity, a cornerstone of our community's cultural landscape. Join us in celebrating our shared heritage and forging pathways to a brighter future!
