How can I join?
Membership is open to everyone; join here.
Are there any membership fees?
Fees are determined annually by member vote, supporting club activities and facility improvements. There are currently no fees to join.
Can I play pickleball in Temple Terrace and not be a member of the Temple Terrace Pickleball Club?
Yes, but we’d love your support.
Playing at the Temple Terrace Family Recreation Complex requires a membership or a $10 entry fee. Play at the Temple Terrace Recreation Tennis Center is free for the public.

How can I participate in tournaments?

What is a round robin shootout play and how can I participate?
These events allows for play and where players rotate partners and keep track of individual match wins for points. These events take place on Saturday's at the Temple Terrace Parks and Recreation Tennis Center and registration is required. (More Info)

What is the purpose of the club's website?
Our website serves as the central hub for all information related to the club. It links to all other platforms and resources you'll need to stay informed and engaged with our activities.
How does the club use Email?
We use Email to send out important announcements and updates directly to our players. If you're interested in receiving these updates, you can join our mailing list by providing your name and email address [insert link].
What role does social media play for the club?
Social media allows us to reach out and communicate with pickleball enthusiasts who may not be club members. We maintain active accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and X, sharing updates and news that you can easily add to your social media feeds to stay in the loop.
How is TeamReach beneficial to the club?
Currently, TeamReach aids in our communication efforts. However, plans are in place to transition to other apps or websites that offer superior support for group communication and announcements, enhancing our ability to stay connected as a club.

What is a DUPR rating and how can I get one?
A performance-based rating system. Create an account on DUPR, join the Temple Terrace DUPR Club group, and log matches.
Advanced Play-DUPR-Pickleball Global
How do I qualify for advanced play?
Earn a ranking through the Poach app or obtain a DUPR rating. Top 25 players or those with a pro exemption are eligible. [More Info]
What is DUPR?

Can you explain what the DUPR App is and how to use it?
The DUPR App and the DUPR website are critical for event registration and accessing player rankings. To participate in any club events beyond open play, you'll need to download the DUPR app, create an account, and request to join the Temple Terrace Pickleball Club. Make sure to enable notifications for updates on events and connect with Derek Stewart's DUPR profile for the latest information on DUPR events. We have a page dedicated to how DUPR ratings work.
What is Pickleball Global used for?
Pickleball Global is the platform we use for organizing events beyond open play, including shootouts, leagues, and tournaments. To get involved, create an account on Pickleball Global , join the Temple Terrace page for event updates, and send Derek Stewart a friend request through Pickleball Global.
How do DUPR and Pickleball Global work together?
Player scores recorded in Pickleball Global will report to DUPR and update player's rating. The two accounts need to be linked. Here are the directions.
What is the Poach App?
The Poach App was utilized in the fall of 2023 for assessing player ratings, specifically to determine eligibility for indoor Advanced Court play. It's an essential tool for players looking to compete at advanced levels within the club.
Club Governance
How is the club governed?
By a Board of Directors elected annually by club members.
How often does the Board meet?
A minimum of three times per year, with additional meetings as needed. Board meetings are listed on the calendar and usually take place on the first Monday of every month.
Community and Support
How does the club support the local community?
Through donations, volunteering, and organizing events that benefit pickleball in and around Temple Terrace.
