All profits from redeeming bottles supports Team Hailey Hugs, a charity organization dedicated to supporting children with leukemia and their families. Hailey Hugs is run in the honor of Hailey Stewart, a beloved local whose life was taken by childhood leukemia. The organization is hosting a bottle drive in March in celebration of Hailey's birthday. North Star Bottle Drop:
Northstar is a 4H mentoring program that is run by the University of Maine. This program is to let students throughout the 7th-12th grade to gain new experiences. The program is to set up that students can learn good sportsmanship, perseverance, and become an overall good leader. Students who get into high school can become a student leader and look over a cohort below them. They do fundraising so they are be able to go on trips to experience more things, examples are learning how to cook, how to travel in big cities, learn how to camp and how to setup your own tent/keeping your personal items dry, and learn how to canoe and kayak.
