For our last skills lesson, we focused on formatting for editting our videos from Wk 3's film session. Beforehand, James had compressed the files (film recording) for us using Handbreak.
I found ScreenFlow very easy and efficient to use for multi-cam editing. In this software, I was able to cut film and audio clips to the perfect moments using claps and audio spikes as guides. I was also able to add text, transitions, and adjust the frame of shots. A new skill I learned was using an MP3 converter on google to add separate audio on top of the film (e.g. background music, audio from my iPhone, etc). I would simply drag the converted audio into ScreenFlow and continue editing. I also learned how to make tutorials on the film-editing software, use screen captire, and embedding interactivity on a website.
Check out my video here! (My favourite thing we did this sem! 😝)
