Week 12: Teaching with Technology

This week, despite my absence due to a choir rehearsal, it was interesting to get a feel for a real-life prgrammer, Peter Lee's, vision for Musition and Aurelia and how it can be used in ways beyond his initial vision, demonstrating the possibilities for music education! 

We explored using an LMS from the teacher's side, aural skills and musicianship drilling, critical thinking and tech, what eye tracking research and Cognitive Load Theory can tell us about website design & death by Powerpoint, as well as digital game-based learning. I found all of these skills and knowledge useful, because as much as I want to incorporate engaging and relevant technology into my lesson plans, it is difficult when I have not had prior exposure to these technologies and applications. Therefore, learning about and developing an awareness of the types of digital learning resources out there, would be so helpful for me!
